Applying Bayesian Methods in Educational Research (28/09/2015-02/10/2015)
The second ZIB Academy took place at IPN in Kiel and focused on “Applying Bayesian Methods in Educational Research”.
A total of 30 early-career researchers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland participated. Professor David Kaplan (University of Wisconsin–Madison) introduced the methodological foundations and applications of Bayesian methods.
Under the guidance of Alexander Robitzsch (BIFIE, Salzburg) and Professor Oliver Lüdtke (IPN), participants worked with the software R and WinBUGS to implement Bayesian methods in practical settings.
Opportunities for networking and discussion with the instructors rounded off the academy programme.
